Personal data: Born in Sverdlovsk (Ekaterinburg present name) on December 10th, 1958. Nationality: Russian.

Education and Positions:

September 1976 to July 1981: Student at the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute. Diploma of the engineer–geologist was got in 1981 after graduated of Sverdlovsk Mining Institute.

September 1981 to December 1987: a research assistant and research fellow in the Institute of Geology and Geochemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ural Division, Sverdlovsk (Ekaterinburg).

In 1987 passed PhD exam and got scientific degree: Doctor of geological sciences at the Institute of Geology and Geochemistry, Ural Division of Russian Academy of Sciences. The title of dissertation is “Petrlogy of subplatform clinopyroxenite-gabbro-granite intrusions in the Khabarny ophiolite complex”.

December 1988 to present: senior research fellow at the Institute of Geology and Geochemistry, Ural Division, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ekaterinburg. Fields of scientific interests: Petrology, Mineralogy and Metallogeny of the mafic-ultramafic complexes. Three times was a leader of the projects supported by Russian Foundation of Basic Research (grant numbers: 98-05-78068-d, 06-05-64795-а, 09-05-00911-а).

December 2000 to February 2001: invited research fellow at the Max-Plank Institute of Chemistry, Mainz, Germany. Grant DAAD.

March 2005 – lecture of the Ural State University. Course – Modern Mineralogy and Petrology.

Field of Research and Professional Experiences: petrology of mafic-ultramafic complexes, Dr. Evgeny V. Pushkarev has 30 years’ experience studying of Petrology, Mineralogy and Metallogeny of ophiolites and Ural-Alaskan type mafic-ultramafic complexes in the Urals and World-wide. He was a leader and guide of five international field excursions and joint International scientific project in the Urals. He is author and coauthor of more than 170 scientific publications. More than 25 papers were published from the 1994 in international journals and Abstract Issues of International Conferences.
