The field of scientific interests – mineralogy, geochemistry, isotope geochemistry, thermobaro-geochemistry of the deposits of noble metals and precious stones. V.V. Murzin is an admitted specialist in the field of mineralogy, geochemistry and the genesis of gold-ore and gold-containing deposits. The main results of his researches are published in 375 works, including the leading Russian and foreign journals and in the scientific journals indexing in WOS (CHEMICAL GEOLOGY Q1, ORE GEOLOGY REVIEWS Q1, MINERALS Q2) The results of the researches make considerable contribution to a theory of typomorphism of minerals, as well as to the decision of one of the most important problems of ore-genesis – determination of the fluid and ore substance sources, perfection of scientifically grounded methods of forecasting, prospecting and estimating of gold deposits.
