Demezhko, Dmitry Yu., Dr. Sci. (Geol.), Chief research scientist, the Laboratory of Geodynamics at the Institute of Geophysics, UB RAS. The field of scientific interests – geothermy (the Earth’s thermal field and related research methods) including paleoclimatic interpretation of underground temperatures, temperature monitoring for the solution of problems of geodynamics, metods of temperature measurements in boreholes, and thermophysical properties of rocks. Member of the International Heat Flow Commission (IHFC), the Scientific council on Geothermal Problems of RAS.

The scientific results are published in some monographs, and more than 200 papers including «Doclady Earts Sciences», « Russian Geology and Geophysics », «Journal of Geophysical Research», «Global and Planetary Change», «Climate of the Past», «International Journal of Earth Sciences», «Atmospheric and Oceanic Physics», «Instruments and Experimental Techniques», «Measurement Techniques» and other.
