Выполнено сравнение морфологических особенностей уральских конодонтов, отнесенных к виду Streptognathodus simulator Ellison, с представителями этого вида из топотипической области Мидконтинента (Северная Америка). На этой основе предложено внести изменения в диагноз этого вида, которые позволят несколько расширить его объем и рассматривать различия между американскими и евразийскими формами как внутривидовую изменчивость. Рассмотрено стратиграфическое значение сопутствующих конодонтов из группы S. simulator.
