Блоджетта (Blodgett) с соавторами, предлагающая новую трактовку происхождения террейна Александра (АТ) Аляски и северной Канады, основанную на обзоре некоторых силурийских и девонских фоссилий и свит, показывающих сходство с Омулевским террейном (OT) северо-восточной России. Согласно этой модели сходство между мирнинской свитой Омулевских гор северо-восточной России и формацией Кархин АТ является доказательством того, что АТ является отколотым “тектоническим блоком”, перемещенным из Восточной Сибири в позднем девоне–раннем карбоне. В данной статье мы показываем, что в их обзоре были опущены важные публикации, являющиеся современным свидетельством геологической истории АТ, более детальных силурийско-девонских стратиграфических взаимоотношений и сходства фауны. Вместе эти данные опровергают предлагаемую Р. Блоджеттом гипотезу и поддерживают раннюю модель, показывающую образование АТ как островной дуги, располагавшейся в середине палеозоя в пределах Уральского морского пути в близости к Лаврентии, Балтике и Салаиру.</p></abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>террейн Александра</kwd><kwd>фоссилии</kwd><kwd>свиты</kwd><kwd>геологическая история</kwd><kwd>палеозой</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Антошкина А.И.
