Ранняя группа - предконгломератовая (РreArod сgl) - представлена базальтами Сахароним и бимодальной габбро(базальт)-сиенитовой серией, а поздняя - (PostArod сgl) - базальт-базанит-нефелинитовой серией. Породы образуют лавовые потоки, дайки, силлы, некки. Они отвечают геодинамическому типу внутриплитных рифтогенных континентальных базальтов. По петрологическим и геохимическим особенностям породы РreArod сgl группы близки к постщитовой серии Гавайских островов, а породы базальт-базанит-нефелинитовой к постэрозионной серии этих островов. PostArod сgl ассоциация, кроме того, очень близка к континентальной базальт-базанит-нефелинитовой части серии Балконес в США.
