Рассматриваются верхнепермские рифы блока Янцзы Южного Китая, среди которых выделяются два вида, различающиеся по местоположению в бассейне и характеру внутреннего строения.</p></sec><sec><title>Методы и результаты</title><p>Методы и результаты. На основании геологических и литологических методов исследования показано, что главными рифо-строителями были разнообразные губки, в меньшей степени мшанки при широком развитии некаркасных организмов. Наряду с относительно простыми постройками (биостромами) установлены и рифы в строгом значении этого термина. Начало рифообразования фиксируется накоплением детрита эхинодермат, сцементированного микрозернистым материалом. Закончилось рифообразование до конца перми, до массового вымирания биоты на границе перми и триаса, хотя потенциально рифостроящие организмы еще существовали.</p></sec><sec><title>Вывод</title><p>Вывод. События, приведшие к великому массовому вымиранию, предварялись некими изменениями, которые прежде всего разрушали систему рифового биоценоза, что и привело к прекращению формирования рифов при продолжающемся существовании отдельно взятых групп организмов.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Subject of research</title><p>Subject of research. The upper Permian reefs of the Yangtze block of southern China are considered. Among them there are two species which differ in location in the basin and the nature of the internal structure.</p></sec><sec><title>Methods and results</title><p>Methods and results. On the basis of geological and lithological methods of research it is shown that the main rift builders were a variety of sponges, whith a lesser extent bryozoans and wide development of non-carcass organisms. Along with relatively simple buildings (biostromes), the reefs in the strict sense of this term are also established. The beginning of reef formation is fixed by the accumulation of detritus of echinoderms with micro-grain cemented material. Reef formation ended until the end of Permian, before bulk biota extinction on the border of Permian and Triassic although potentially reef-building organisms still existed.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
